Meet the Team

KANEISHA S. EVANS, MA, LCMHC, LCASA, NCC

Founder | Therapist | Educator | Consultant

I believe therapy should be a space where you can be fully human. That means you can bring your faith, your doubts, your frustration, your laughter, your grief, your culture, your relationships, your questions, your patterns, your recovery, and your hopes. You do not have to apologize for being in process.

My approach is integrative, person-centered, culturally responsive, and reflective. I draw on Gestalt therapy, Brainspotting, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Multicultural Counseling, Reality/Choice Therapy, REBT, ACT, DBT-informed skills, Motivational Interviewing, and other strength-based approaches, tailored to each client’s needs.

I work with clients navigating life transitions, relationships, family concerns, confidence, self-expression, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, health-related stress, medical and helping professional stress, career concerns, substance use, addictions, addictive behaviors, spirituality, and emotional regulation.

At the heart of my work is this: I want people to feel connected, secure, confident, autonomous, encouraged, fulfilled, and supported in becoming who they are meant to be and shaping their lives in a way that reflects what matters most. I believe healing happens through love, community, togetherness, unity, family, relationships, and honoring the value of people.

Kaleidoscope Dream Center reflects my vision for a space where people can come as they are, be met with compassion, and take life one session, one week, one month, one day, and one step at a time.

My name is Kaneisha, and I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist Associate. I completed my graduate studies in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with an additional focus in Clinical Addictions at North Carolina Central University. I also earned my undergraduate degree in Exercise and Sports Science with a focus in Exercise Physiology from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke.
Part of my professional work includes contributing to conversations that strengthen ethical and meaningful counseling practice. I co-authored the peer-reviewed article The Reflective Roadmap: A Technique to Strengthen the Closure or Termination Process for Both the Counselor Trainee and Their Clients and presented this work at the 2024 NCCA Annual Conference, Change, Adapt, or Lose: The Imperative for Advocacy in Counseling. This work aligns with my belief that how we begin, continue, and close therapeutic relationships matters deeply.
My work is rooted in my love for people, relationships, human connection, growth, healing, and the deep belief that people are capable of becoming more whole, more grounded, and more connected to themselves and others. I care deeply about helping people expand into their best and greatest selves — not through perfection, but through honesty, reflection, self-awareness, courage, love, and support.

Growing With Intention

Kaleidoscope Dream Center is beginning with vision, purpose, and care — and as we grow, our team will grow with the same intention.

Future KDC team members will be chosen not only for their skills and experience, but for their alignment with our heart: transparency, authenticity, benevolence, cultural humility, compassion, and the belief that people deserve to be seen, supported, and met with care.

As new team members join, this page will be updated to introduce the people who will help carry forward KDC’s work of healing, learning, recovery, connection, and becoming.

Our Commitment

At KDC, our commitment is to hold space for the human becoming — to nurture, empower, and support the growth that unlocks healing.

We are here for the person making sense of pain, the family trying to reconnect, the man learning that strength can include softness, the woman rebuilding after transition, the gender-expansive individual seeking affirmation, the person of faith holding both belief and questions, and the one healing from trauma, addiction, loss, rejection, stress, or silence.

We are committed to care that is transparent, authentic, benevolent, and grounded in love, community, togetherness, unity, family, relationships, and the value of people.

Kaleidoscope Dream Center is committed to empowering your journey of healing, growth, and becoming — honoring your story, your rhythm, your faith or belief system, your relationships, your body, your culture, your struggles, and your lens.
